Teasday Morning~new aprons coming soon!

Made from 100% cotton.
It ties at the neck and waist.

Our newest arrival at the Ivy Leaf is custom made, beautiful aprons! We will be having three more designs very soon as well as matching children's sizes. These would make perfect gifts. It's not too soon to be thinking about Christmas! These will be gone quickly and we will have limited quantities of each design. If you would like to pre-order, just drop us an email.

On to the Teasday trivia question from last week. The answer is: a fully matured tea leaf! Only the young, tender leaves make a high quality tea. Once the leaf matures, it would actually ruin the flavor by making it bitter. Thanks so much for playing! The winner from last week is: Jillian! I'll get your sample tea right out to you. You are getting chocolate raspberry truffle!

This week's trivia question is: What is the signature tea of the Ivy Leaf Tea Parlor? (I have mentioned it before in previous posts) If you don't know, you can just guess or leave a comment to be entered. For those of you who are regulars at the Ivy Leaf-you may want to try it if you never have!

I have to share a cute little "make you smile" moment I have with my daughter. She is 4 years old and drinks tea with me everyday in her own special china. Her very favorite tea is French Creme' Brulee. So, everytime the tea kettle whistles, she comes running in the kitchen asking me, "Is it scramble A?" She drinks many flavors, but this one is at the top of her list!

Have you ever tried Mango Mist?? If you haven't, you absolutely must before summer is over. It's sooo good hot or cold and has a very refreshing, light flavor. I made it for my husband the other day, who really loved it. It's one of our favorites in the summer.

If you are cutting back on your sugar intake, but you love to sweeten your tea, here's a great and healthy alternative. It's called, Stevia glyceride drops. It's available at health food stores. I got mine at Body-b-Healthy, here in Crestview. It costs about 10.00 and you only need about 1-4 drops depending on your taste. It's made from a plant and is completely natural and chemical free. It has no artificial flavors or colors. I bought the french vanilla flavor and think it tastes delicious!

For those of you who are keeping up in our book club on my jewelry blog, we are on chapters 9 and 10 (P&P).

wishing you a lovely tea,

Lori

Hi Lori,
I'm glad to hear your daughter's favourite is the French Creme' Brule, or Scramble A :) I've just received my package with my very own Creme brule from you, and it smells absolutely delicious!!! I can't wait to try it, but it smells so good I'm going to keep it for a special occassion like when my mum comes to visit from South Africa.
Thanks again!

Did someone say Creme Brule and Mango Mist? They both sound wonderful.

I love the apron too. Going to have a look around, Lori.
